That matters more than it sounds on a coatings job, because every decision on site, how much to grind, how to treat a crack, how heavy to broadcast the flake, is made by the person whose name is on the work. We spend the time on the part nobody sees

Coatings almost never fail because of the product. They fail because somebody rolled them over a dirty, sealed or unprepared floor. The fix is unglamorous: diamond grind the slab back to open concrete, fill the cracks and pinholes, and only then start coating. It is the slowest part of the job and it is the part that decides whether the floor is still there in ten years. It is why our epoxy floors stay down.

A floor built for the way the Inland Empire actually lives

Out here the garage is rarely just a garage. It is a workshop, a gym, a store room and somewhere to park the car, with the door open to the sun for half the day. Hot tires lift cheap coatings straight off a slab. Flake and quartz systems finished with a polyaspartic topcoat handle the heat, the UV and the traffic, and hide the marks that show up instantly on bare concrete. We will tell you when the answer is no

A coating is a surface. It cannot hold a slab together that is heaving, sinking or breaking up through its full depth, and anyone who tells you otherwise is selling you a year. If that is what we find, we say so, and you keep your money. When the concrete underneath is sound, which is most of the time, a coated floor is the best value in the house.
