Chino is about 45 miles from Menifee, roughly a 50 minute run up the 215 and across on the 60 or the 71. It is the one city on our list that sits in San Bernardino County rather than Riverside County, and it is the longest drive our Menifee family business makes. We plan Chino jobs as full days so the floor never gets rushed to beat the traffic home.
The city has grown to about 96,957 people, and its housing splits neatly in two. Around 45 percent went up between 1970 and 1999 and another 38 percent since 2000, so we see both worn older slabs and plain new ones on the same street. About 68 percent of homes are detached houses with a garage, which keeps us busy installing coated garage floors up there.
Why Chino garages work harder
Chino sits in a valley with a long farming and dairy history, and that working streak has not gone anywhere. It is a city of trucks, trailers, tools and projects, and the garage is where all of that lives. August highs average around 96 degrees and the city only gets about 9.98 inches of rain a year, so doors stay open and the garage is genuinely a second workspace for most of the year.
That is hard on bare concrete. Oil, fuel, solvents and dropped steel all land on an unprotected slab, and the concrete drinks in whatever it can. Heat is the other half of it. Tires that have been on the 60 or the 71 come home hot enough to bond to a thin coating and tear it up when they cool. Resurfacing Older Chino Slabs
Close to half the homes in Chino went up between 1970 and 1999, and those garage floors show it. Deep staining, old sealer peeling off in strips, pitting, and patch repairs from an owner two families back. Resurfacing deals with all of it without pulling the slab out. We come in off State Route 60, the Pomona Freeway, or State Route 71, the Chino Valley Freeway, and work out from there. Chino Airport is the landmark everybody knows, home to both the Planes of Fame Air Museum and the Yanks Air Museum, and the neighborhoods and workshops around that side of town are a steady source of calls.
The rest of the city carries its history openly. The Yorba Slaughter Adobe has stood since 1850, and the valley's dairy and farming past is still visible in the older streets and outbuildings. Between that older stock and the newer tracts built since 2000, we get the full range of concrete on a single trip up.

Yes, and plenty of Chino jobs are exactly that. Yes. We install coatings in smaller commercial spaces like shops and workspaces using the same grind first process, with systems chosen for the traffic the floor actually takes.
What do you need from me before you start?
A clear floor and access to the space. Move the cars and the storage out, and we handle the rest, including grinding the slab and cleaning up when the job is done.
Chino is in San Bernardino County. Does that change anything?
Not for us. It is the only city on our list outside Riverside County, and the only real difference is the drive. Your floor gets the same grind, the same materials and the same care as one two streets from our house.
I keep a truck and a trailer in my garage. Will the coating handle that?
