Corona is a regular run for our family floor coating crew. It is around 34 miles from Menifee and about 40 minutes on the road, with Interstate 15, State Route 91 and State Route 71 all feeding into the city. We load the trailer in the morning and we are grinding by the time most people have finished their coffee.
The city has about 161,540 people and a very different housing profile to the newer suburbs south of it. Roughly 61 percent of Corona homes were built between 1970 and 1999, and about 66 percent are detached houses with a garage. What decades of use does to Corona concrete
A garage floor poured in the 1980s has had forty years of cars parked on it, and none of that was gentle. Oil drips soak straight into bare concrete and spread under the surface, brake dust and road grit get walked around, and the whole slab slowly turns a blotchy gray that no amount of scrubbing brings back. Bare concrete has no defense, because it is porous. It absorbs everything you spill on it.
Corona also runs hot and dry, averaging around 92 degrees in summer and only about 13.95 inches of rain a year, so garage doors stay open and floors stay busy. Grinding is what fixes an old slab. The machine takes off the stained top layer along with any old paint or sealer, and once we are down to clean open concrete, the coating bonds to sound material instead of to forty years of grime.

Epoxy Garage Floors

We grind the old material off, handle the cracks and the low spots, and build a fresh coated surface over the concrete you already own. Decorative Flake Finishes
Flake is the finish that changes how a Corona garage feels, and older homes get the most out of it. We broadcast the chips across the wet base coat until the whole floor is covered, then lock them in under a clear layer. The blend hides tire marks, dust and the odd drip, and the texture gives you grip when the floor is wet. Is Corona too far for you to come out?
No. It is about 34 miles from Menifee, roughly 40 minutes up the freeway, and we run jobs there regularly. Call and tell us the address and the size of the floor.
My garage slab is from the 1980s and covered in oil stains. Is it too far gone?
Almost certainly not. Corona has plenty of 1980s slabs like yours. Usually not. Grinding removes the stained top layer along with any old paint or sealer. Once we are down to clean concrete, the coating bonds to sound material and the old staining is gone with the dust.
Can you coat a shop or warehouse floor in Corona?
Yes. We handle smaller commercial floors alongside home garages, using the same grind first process and systems built to take daily traffic, spills and cleaning.
Do you pour new concrete or fix a broken slab?
No. We coat concrete, we do not pour it, and we do not do structural work. We grind, repair the cracks and pinholes in the surface, and install the floor coating on top.
Can you coat a patio or a walkway at my Corona house?
Yes, as long as the concrete is already there and sound. We coat and seal existing slabs, so patios, walkways and shop floors are all fair game. What we do not do is pour new concrete or replace a slab.
Do you work in the Grand Boulevard Historic District?
We do, and those older garages are some of the most satisfying floors we touch. Concrete from that era usually has staining and wear right through the surface, and grinding it back is what turns it into a clean floor again.
